Loyal Followers,
I have a different type of post this time… less dramatic happenings. More explaining the feelings within my little body.
Some things in life are very important: naps in sunny spots, plotting the downfall of the neighbour’s pigeon, and, of course, my blue-and-white blanket. It’s extra soft, extra cuddly, and (most importantly) mine.
Nanny gave me this blanket, which makes it officially the best blanket in the world. She says it was a present, but I suspect she just wanted an excuse to borrow it when I’m not looking. We have photographic evidence from Christmas of us “sharing” it — though if you ask me, I was being extremely generous that day.

don’t let Nanny fool you — I was doing all the work keeping her warm.
The blanket has many uses. It is:
- A nap zone (prime real estate).
- A chin-scratch station (Nanny’s long nails are excellent equipment).
- A hiding spot (don’t laugh, I fit perfectly).
- And occasionally, if I’m feeling charitable, a blanket for Nanny too.
Honestly, she’s lucky I let her use it at all. But since she’s the best Nanny in the world, I suppose it’s fair. Besides, she did give it to me… which means she knew from the start who it really belonged to.
Happy Birthday, Nanny! You’re the best Nanny in the world — even if you do try to steal my blanket. Don’t worry, I’ll let you have a corner today. 🎂💛
Love,
Smudge
